Remarketing and retargeting, Ireland
Remarketing: re-engaging the visitors who showed interest but did not enquire or buy
Most website visitors leave without booking, buying or making contact. We help organisations in Ireland re-engage the right ones on Google, YouTube, Meta and LinkedIn, with messages matched to their intent, and measure the enquiries and sales that result.

The challenge
Interested visitors who leave without acting rarely return unprompted
Buyers compare options, get interrupted or wait until payday. Without remarketing, a visitor who leaves the website is gone unless they recall the brand.
Remarketing shows relevant ads to people who have already shown interest: they visited a service page, viewed a product, started a booking or opened an email. Because they already know the organisation, these campaigns can cost less per enquiry than reaching new audiences.

How we help clients
Effective remarketing matches the message to each visitor's intent
We combine audiences, ads and measurement across the channels buyers already use.
Audience strategy
We build audiences from page views, product views, abandoned baskets and bookings, with time windows set to match the sales cycle.
Google and YouTube
We run display, YouTube and dynamic remarketing that returns people to the products or services they viewed.
Meta and LinkedIn
We retarget on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, using the Meta pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
Customer lists
We use customer and subscriber lists to re-engage past buyers, or to exclude them from campaigns aimed at new customers.
Messages by stage
We write distinct ads for people who browsed, compared or nearly bought, so each message reflects how close they are to deciding.
Frequency and exclusions
We set frequency caps and exclusions, so recent buyers are not followed by ads they no longer need.
Our approach
A four-step approach, built on tracking that can be trusted
01
Audit the tracking
We review the Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Meta pixel and consent set-up before building any audiences.
02
Build the audiences
We segment audiences by page, product and behaviour, keeping each one large enough to be useful.
03
Create the ads
We write and design ads for each audience and stage, and agree them with your team before launch.
04
Measure and refine
We report on the enquiries and sales remarketing generates, then refine windows, messages and budgets.
Consent and tracking
Sustainable remarketing starts with consent built into the tracking
Remarketing depends on cookies and tracking that visitors must agree to. We configure the cookie banner, Google Consent Mode and tags so tracking runs only where people have given consent.
- Cookie consent banner connected to Google Tag Manager
- Google Consent Mode configured and tested
- Customer lists used only where you have the right to use them
- Privacy notice wording agreed with your own advisers
We provide technical set-up and training, not legal advice. Decisions on privacy and data protection remain with your organisation and its advisers.
Client work
Campaign value is measured in enquiries and sales, not clicks
Selected engagements, and how each one was measured.
Tourism

We ran geo-targeted Google Ads with call and enquiry tracking for a Westport bike hire business, so each campaign was judged on calls and bookings.
Results
12x ROAS in 2025

We reported a 12x return on ad spend (ROAS) in 2025. Each campaign is assessed on the enquiries and sales it produces.

Questions clients ask us
What is the difference between remarketing and retargeting?
There is none: the two terms mean the same thing. Google calls it remarketing, while Meta, LinkedIn and others usually call it retargeting. Both show ads to people who have already visited your website or engaged with your organisation.
Is remarketing allowed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
Remarketing relies on cookies and personal data, so it needs consent and a clear privacy notice. We configure the technical side, including cookie consent and Google Consent Mode. We do not give legal advice, so confirm your approach with your data protection adviser.
How long should people stay in a remarketing audience?
As long as your buyers typically take to decide. A café or event might use days, a holiday booking weeks and a B2B service months. We set windows based on your sales cycle, then test them.
Will people find remarketing ads annoying?
Not if the campaigns are well managed. We cap how often people see ads, stop showing them to people who have bought and refresh the message over time.
