What we hear from retailers
Challenges we see
These come up with independent shops, online-only brands and producers who sell direct.
Till, website and spreadsheet disagree
Sales go through the till in the shop or at the market, through the online shop, and into a spreadsheet when someone has time. Nobody is sure what sold where.
Irish addresses at checkout
Customers type addresses in many different ways, Eircodes get missed and couriers struggle with rural deliveries. A long, awkward checkout also loses buyers on a phone.
Products missing from Google Shopping
Merchant Centre feed errors, missing product data and disapproved items mean your products never appear in Shopping results, while a competitor’s do.
Seasonal stock, inconsistent content
Producers sell what is ready now: this week’s flowers, this month’s harvest, a Christmas range. Social posts and product pages need to keep up with the season.
Services and fixed-scope offers
How we help
Pick the piece that is holding you back, or combine them. Fixed scope, ask for a quote.
Online shop
Shops on WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, Squarespace or Wix, built for mobile buyers, with a short checkout and product pages your team can update. On WooCommerce we add Irish address lookup from our own Eircode plugin.
Advertising
Merchant Centre set-up and feed fixes so your products are eligible to show, then Shopping campaigns measured in Google Analytics 4.
In-store
Advice on choosing and setting up ePOS, connecting it to online sales where that makes sense, and reporting that shows both in one place.
Automation
One workflow designed, built, tested and handed over. For example, a weekly sales report from your POS into Google Sheets, or order alerts routed to the right person.
Accessibility
Not sure whether to start with the shop, your till or your ads? Book a free 30-minute call with Philip and we will point you to the right first step.
Content
A content plan built around your season and your products, with a consistent posting rhythm and regular review of reach, saves and enquiries.

Elmgrove Irish Flower Farm
Automated weekly reporting from the farm’s POS into Google Sheets, so sales are reviewed every week without anyone copying figures by hand.
WooCommerce plugin
Our WooCommerce Eircode lookup plugin adds Irish address lookup at checkout, so customers can find and fill in their address from their Eircode.

Compliance notes
- European Accessibility Act: in force in Ireland since 28 June 2025 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023), it lists eCommerce among the services it covers. Some micro-enterprises are exempt from parts of it, so ask your adviser how it applies to you.
- Marketing consent: email marketing needs clear consent and an easy way to unsubscribe, and we set up sign-up forms with that in mind.
- AI literacy: if staff use ChatGPT or Gemini for product descriptions, Article 4 of the EU AI Act (applying since 2 February 2025, amended in 2026) expects employers to take measures to support their staff’s AI literacy.

Common questions from retailers
Which eCommerce platform should we use?
It depends on your products, your team and the systems you already run. WooCommerce suits businesses that want full control inside WordPress. Shopify, BigCommerce, Squarespace and Wix suit teams that want a hosted platform with less to maintain. We compare the options against your POS, payments and delivery needs and explain the trade-offs before you commit.
Can you connect our till to our online shop?
Often, yes, but it depends on your POS system. We check what your POS can export or connect to, then recommend the simplest option, which may be a weekly report rather than a live sync.
What does the Eircode lookup plugin do?
It adds Irish address lookup to the WooCommerce checkout, so customers can find and fill in their address from their Eircode. We can add it to a new build or an existing WooCommerce shop.
Do we need Google Shopping ads, or just free listings?
Both run from Merchant Centre, so the first job is a healthy product feed. Once your products show for free, you can test paid Shopping campaigns on your best sellers and measure the return in Google Analytics 4.
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to our shop?
It may. It covers eCommerce services, with some exemptions for micro-enterprises, so ask your adviser about your obligations.
We sell at markets and online. Where should we start?
Usually with reporting. When you can see weekly sales from the till and the website side by side, it becomes clear whether the next step is the shop, Google Shopping or social content.
Can our team update products and prices ourselves?
Yes. WooCommerce, Shopify and the other platforms we build on all have their own dashboards, so your team can add products, change prices and run offers without a developer, and we train you at handover. If you would rather hand it over, a care plan includes time for small changes.
